My boss is Indian and did the needy, by immediately blaming me for all the problems. The super boss man had to come in and remind me that even though my boss is pissed right now, i didnt do anything wrong and that my boss is being fucking ridiculous
That's sad, really
And in that tech sector it's not an easy thing to be your own boss, I mean beyond earning close to peanuts. Unlike plumbers for instance, it's a line of work that can easily be off-shored, and you aren't going to make a living by running yet another forum
A friend of mine found a nice niche. She inherited the company of her father so she doesn't have all the merit, but still, she manages to keep business afloat that's already that
What she does is interesting, business wise, it sits half way in between the "cyber world" and the real world, her business can't really be off-shored because of that; she essentially runs a company of 4 to 5 people, her included, which is specialized in providing "exhibition halls" for all sorts of companies/industries in her area. She "designs" that sort of craporama https://pic8.co/sh/Nmbogg.jpeg
It's mostly a giant lego of prefabs with printed logos on it, she arranges the standard pieces together, with 3D software, add a bit of infographics, does the flyers and shit, and all the the manufacturing is done by other companies, sub contractors. She's in the middle, between the final client and the rest of the production chain for that type of "product".
Of course, I get that you are not exactly into "infographics", but the general idea/philosophy/approach regarding that business, remains interesting IMO
