The things politicians do everyday are things normal people would cringe at. Grab some lady's baby for a photo-op. Go to the border wall and cry at an empty parking lot. Or grab a Bible from a church so you can pose with it. Or give a speech about locking away crackheads when you know your son is one.
You need to be a narcissistic psychopath to be a politician.

That one actually sounds potentially sincere, you'll often find hypocrites to be the most zealous, and that's not a bad trait to have.
