The idea of shaming a section of the population, and marking them out with armbands or whatever so that people will insult them and shun them, is unAmerican. It's even unWestern. It is an Asian approach to controlling the people from the top. It has the stink of the ChiComs all over it. Chinese are all about "face." It's part of their culture. They feel they must "save face" at all costs. Americans have never given a flying fuck about "saving face." It's not in our history. It's not in our culture. It's not part of who Americans are.
