If we start charging groups of people for crimes their ancestors are supposed to have committed, which weren't crimes at the time but normal behavior, then every group and sect and creed and clan and tribe and nation on Earth can demand reparations from other groups and sects and creeds and clans and tribes. At least the Jews, who seem to have originated this concept (just as they originated critical race theory) were charging Germans for what their own generation had supposedly done to Jews. But when you start going back into history, the concept of reparations loses all meaning. Can the American Indians charge reparations against the British? Or against America? Can the Poles claim reparations against the Russians? Can the Chinese claim reparations against the Japanese? Can the Anglo-Saxons claim reparations against the French for 1066? Can the Scots claim reparations against the Scandanavians? It quickly become ridiculous. History is history.
