I was the courtesy shuttle driver for the #1 Buick/GMC dealer in America 4 years ago. The sales people and service writers were complete assholes. One day some literally schizophrenic guy walked in. The sales guy figured out real quick the guy had a screw loose. Whats he do? Pawns him off on me! " Our shuttle driver will take you anywhere you want to go!". Guy gets in my SUV and starts barking orders like hes The Admiral of The Fleet! I got rid of him butt quick. On the side of the road. I went back to the dealership PISSED and had a talk with the Service manager. No one ever apologized though. I often got stuck working late driving clients. I absolutely COULD NOT get overtime though. Keep in mind this is a huge multi multi million dollar dealership. #1 in the nation the previous year. In a company that had about 35 dealerships. The service writers would get upset if I got to leave early on Friday to avoid overtime so they made me leave early anytime they could. The real punchline to the story though was the Service manager. A HOLIER THAN CHRIST HIMSELF CHRISTIAN. Funny thing was, during a slow service week every car and truck that came in for service that was on warranty suddenly needed ALL NEW brakes and rotors. Money for the dealership. At the expense of GMC. Oh yeah! The shop Foreman. The shop had like 20 bays and was huge. Im new and I say good morning to the guy every day for a week. he ignores me like Im invisible and mute. So after a week I stop saying good morning to him. The guy walks by. Literally stops in his tracks and stares at me because I didnt acknowledge him! HA! Fukn ego maniac! No Joke. 6 months later TO THE DAY after I started the guy walks up to me and starts speaking. This is after 6 months of me being invisible to Mr. Big Shot. No lie. I literally turned around and looked behind me because I thought he was speaking to some one else! The mechanics were all good guys and maybe one sales manager. Everyone else in the building was a fucking asshole.
