New cars and tuners are increasingly going that direction. I can boost my new one +70hp/+100tq with just a ECU flash, but I don't know shit about how it does it. Has microphones in the cylinders which adjust timing based on the sound of pre-detonation, not to mention a 10 speed automatic...I fuckin hate computers. I can rejet a carb but I can't write that program. That's part of the reason why I love my WR250, I know what's going on and can fix it. You can't even fix a John Deer tractor anymore!
Honda? Careful those 1.5t engines suffer from LSPI. Even the 2.0t, I always advise against a lot of low down torque for reliability reasons. At higher revs and cylinder mixing is faster it becomes less of an issue.
Are you talking about a car? I'm referring to Yamaha enduro bike but really any single cylinder bike. Super easy to work on.
ooooo yeah, I'm a car guy, I appreciate motorcycles, but I stay away from them because I have the need for speed. I have a CBR 600, but I barely ride it, and honestly it scares me. Luckily I've only fallen off it when it was still. Hence the name slow crash.
