Everything is about "adopting" or "fostering" the dog. Rather than referring to the one buying the dog as the "owner", or "master" (God forbid), you're the dog's "human".

You own the dog and are it's human, you're both. And the longer you own it the more you will become hers. Dogs are what makes life tolerable, imo. They make us better people or bring out the worst in someone who don't deserve them.

I understand the relationship, it's the language that I disagree with. Nuances to manipulate.. I agree though they make life more bareable that's why I have 3... 3 times more bareable. I love my pups and they love me to the extent that they can. But they are no whereclose to how I love my wife or kids.
