Christ was the fulfillment of the Old Testament, it can't be understood apart from him.

Believe what you want, but perhaps God does exist, why not for your remaining years be open to that and to him revealing himself to you in Christ, you've nothing to lose.

You've picked up some major bitterness somewhere but it's not going to be kind to you if you indulge it, or nurse it.
