It seems like a pretty good model if you can use it to hit something hundreds of miles away without even using a guidance system.

It is relevant, because what's-his-name said Germany bombed England. That is the popular belief, but it was only in retaliation. Hitler sued for peace, several times, and was rebuffed. He had no interest in fighting Der Englander, his primary concern was stopping Communism from sweeping over Europe.
