FunFact: the Brits started bombing Germany first.
True, but irrelevant to the discussion at hand.
It is relevant, because what's-his-name said Germany bombed England. That is the popular belief, but it was only in retaliation. Hitler sued for peace, several times, and was rebuffed. He had no interest in fighting Der Englander, his primary concern was stopping Communism from sweeping over Europe.
It's true and important, but irrelevant to the topic at hand, which is whether Newton's model of orbital mechanics is correct. A bomber is flown by a pilot who can correct his flight path en route. An unguided rocket is entirely reliant on the calculations and aiming before launch. It's an impressive technical feat, but one that is impossible if they're using a model of the earth that's incorrect, considering that they had to account for the Earth's shape and rotation, different air densities, and of course gravity.
