They used a company to build a grave stone, and that company failed to deliver. The total out of pocket loss is around 3,000 (this woman is a millionaire and she's bitching over 3 grand). So they want to sue the grave marker store for deliverables not rendered. But since i was not in the order form anywhere except at first, i would be suing a gravestone maker on behalf of another client, on behalf of myself for the cost of loss minus fees. Which to me, is simply not worth it. It sucks, but this is one of the cases where you eat the cost and move on. I already have everything redone and ordered properly (took me less than a week to do what they couldnt do in 3 years) on the burial plot, so the loss is annoying, but not that concerning
If it was me I would have nothing to do with my former in-laws. I know it's easy for a stranger to say but it's the only advice I can give that makes sense. They screwed up - they fix it.
Again, why i think Asians are despicable people. They completely fucked up, but they know that i still care about my wife to not let her be buried in a place that looks like an actual wasteland. So they fucked up knowing someone would bail them out, hence the complete lack of concern for any quality or finish. I mean, FFS, even assuming the deliverables weren't happening, hwo the fuck does it take 3 YEARS to make a decision over your own daughter's grave? In that time, you could have contacted someone else, had a new quote, started litigation AND have everything finished up
I feel for you, bro. I wish I could offer better advice.
Just tell them you don't have standing, they have to do it themselves and be done with them.
