Picaridin minimum 20% for effectiveness against Ticks
Permethrin
Ticks are such a huge problem for kayakers in the waterways. Little aquatic bastards.
Is there more than 20%? Which one do you use? And does it work for mosquitos too?
15 to 20% seems to be the standard. I use Repel Tick Defense, Picaridin 15%. Of course, any consumer formulation of DEET, Permethrin, or Picaridin is going to repel Mosquito, for a time dependent on the concentration, however, a higher concentration is necessary against Tick, which is larger, for an equivalent time duration. Picaridin is safer for humans, cats, and gear.

On a side note, my lifetime on-skin Tick protection with Picaridin is more kidney pain, caused by alien heavy metal poisoning to see a spacekike movie!
