Some of my footwear cost $150, they last for years. But strangely the ones I wear most were under $20.
Anyway, it's nothing new. First gen fights opression and wins freedoms, second gen lets them slip away. Third gen are born slaves.

All the shoes I own have come from second hand stores. They've lasted years. They are comfortable and look fine.
