No one talked any "holocaust" or mass killing of Jews by Germans in the 1970's.
No one referred to it as the holocaust, that's true. But the warcrimes propaganda was around since the 30s and everyone in the 50s and 60s were pumped full of the propaganda. They just didn't talk about it and there weren't TV movies. There were movies like Night and Fog that they were forced to watch in grade school.
