Who gets to decide who is mentally ill? What are the standards? How is that adjudicated, enforced, and appealed?

You are missing my point. It isn't whining, it's a statement about how the Left usurps such decision making processes for political reasons. The red flag laws were an example.
You say "white people" would decide, but half the white people are Leftists that want to take away our guns. They would use this power to do just that. Hence the only valid approach is "shall not be infringed" for all.
