England was at war with Germany because they violated Belgian neutrality. Germany could have just kept the war between them and France but they had to be sneaky and invade neutrals. Then they had to be sneaky kikes and use unrestricted submarine warefare because they didn't feel like actually identifying ships before sinking them. The Germans were the assholes of ww1 and ww2.

Germany invaded Belgium during WWI and that is what brought England into the war. Germans also started WW2, which they lost, handing Eastern Europe to the communists.
