We didn't 'give' half of europe to the bolsheviks, they took it by force, from the germans, who invaded them first. The Germans are to blame for losing Europe, because they are the ones who lost it.

Soviets had every intention of taking all of europe over after germany and england fought each other. Because that's what happens when you win a war, just like we took over western europe with NATO.
Germany failed, as a result they lost Europe. They started a war they couldn't finish.
