Now you just hold up right there son. We brought those poor people democracy. And they embraced democracy with open arms. We called it “operation Iraqi freedom“ because of all the freedom we brought them. All they had to trade for this democracy and freedom was rule of the law, freshwater, modern sewers, and their electrical grid. The price of democracy is cheap. /s

One of my big wake up points was when I realized that Saddam Hussein having half of his elected house execute the other half of his elected house was probably one of the best things that ever happened to that country.

I didn’t make the world this way. I’m just trying to get by.

Edit; that makes it sound horrible but both Saddam and Qaddafi ran good countries.
