It depends on the kind of farm you were or know, the one I stayed in, didn't do anything all day.
Ya, most farms the crops plant, fertilize, weed, and harvest themselves. And the buildings, ditches, and machinery is all self maintaining as well. I guess I just was unlucky to grow up on a non-traditional farm where we had to do all this ourselves.
I'm talking about a small farm for self-sufficient living which I stayed on. Big farms where the interest is to produce to sell are a lot of work.
