I'm not paying for it, the VA is. But it seems the whole pretense of being American has been thrown out the window. Of all the students in the class, around 40 - 50% aren't even American, and they don't live in the US either. This is just blatant bullshit. And i hate the upcharging. The course should cover the costs of everything, instead the course is one cost, the books are another, the subscription, etc, etc.

Keep a sense of humor by seeing yourself as an explorer in a degenerate culture of freaks and deviants. Wade through the bullshit by taking as few social science and arts classes as possible. Focus only on STEM classes that provide useful knowledge. Rent textbooks from online sources rather than buying them if your college bookstore doesn't offer rentals. The authors will have a new edition within 5 years, making your copy out of date anyway. Enjoy the perks of free time before you go back to working full time. Chances are slim but look for a based mate who shares your values. Tell us amusing stories from your journey.

I already work full time, this is just because i get a "free" benefit. I make 6 figures in STEM, so this is a complete waste of time to me right now. Also, they don't do books anymore, it's all subscriptions now.

Funny, my uni had both. And made sure we paid for both. Or, uhh, made sure the VA paid it for me anyways. I went to a more tech-centered uni with separate, multi-story buildings for STEM fields, several of which were hunting grounds for talent.

We still ran into diversity bullshit. And this is a deeeeep red state. The only blue spot is right near the uni and it's hordes of mudbloods running around committing crime on the taxpayers dime.

The university I went to had at leastone copy of each textbook for that year. I would just scan the pages because I had a ZIP drive and so did the computers with scanners and I had a CD-R in my dorm.

What’s really sad is the brain drain happening all over the world thanks to the West. We take the smartest people from the dumbest places in the world and import them, meanwhile their homelands suffer.

Education is great, but those motherfuckers need to go back home and use it there.

The "smartest" shitskin is still below average in real human metrics.

Well since America was dissolved and no longer exists that's not surprising in the least.

Go to trade school. College is for fags.

I was going to say this but poster in earlier comment said they made 6 figures in stem already so likely a course to update knowledge base which seems a smart thing to do if you professor is not an idiot liberal preacher.

an idiot liberal preacher.

It's the preacher part that really gets me. Had a butch-dyke for a maths teacher in one of my classes. Clearly a retarded liberal/socialist/commie. Didn't say a single word about politics the entire semester except for the next class day after Trump won.

She only said "Well, that happened."

And I laughed loudly.

Recent ME major here. I loved my math and science classes. Hated everything about the college life. Mommy and daddy paying for their childrens garbage degrees and the troves of foreigners and pc garbage. I hated it. But love my career as engineer.

One of the great things about going to uni after having been at work for awhile is that you don't have to live anywhere near the uni and its hordes of mudbloods. Get in, get your lernin' done, get out and back to your home well away from their influence.

Note: this only works in red states with high-White populations. It does no good to go home if you are still surrounded by the dregs of society.

They make profit by indoctrination. They did it this way due to media lies about the benefits of “higher education”.

it slurps the propaganda without complaint or else it gets outed to the rest of the class!

Seriously. I recall seeing one person support the orange man in a room full of TDS sufferers, they were stared down in silence for what felt like ages until they buckled and walked back their claim. Any good point you made is immediately shot down with "debatable". If it were debatable, than please debate it.

These days, it is more common to see them glee at the death of whites and the west.

I'm in engineering and quickly becoming one of the top in the crew and my supervisor said I won't get anywhere unless I have a degree.

All the people who are the geniuses at work, don't have a degree and know more about the tools and machines than anyone on the floor.

It's such fucking bullshit. I don't want to go to school while working 12 hour shifts.

I predict that as degrees become less and less useful as a prediction of ability to do work, companies will start going back to apprenticeships.

This is what I have been hoping for the past few years because I have great diversified work experience and knowledge because I found working right away more valuable than school. Especially when you can teach yourself today.

There's also a type of course emerging where the lectures are optional, if you know the material you can skip straight to the exam and move on to the next class. They're typically online and aimed at mature students.

If I was an 18 year old starting in 2020 or 2021 I would absolutely skip it or change to another college that still offered in-person classes. Its not just the education. Its the experience. College at 18 would be a waste without the experience. Perhaps go to a community college for a few years and re-enroll 2024. Leave the state if you have to.

Likewide, as an adult - online classes would not for me either.

In-person or bust.

I've noticed all the foreigners are not well rounded people. Many can study hard and remember the information, but when it comes to applying it, they are not good at doing so. They don't seek to understand the material, they just remember it for the exams.

And since they are not well rounded, they cannot apply what they learn to something else.

They don't belong here, they should not be allowed to come to school or work here. At minimum there should be a 100% tax on their tuition and their tuition should be 10x that of a American with out of state tuition.

some books are an outright scam
