Step 1: Take care of yourself. Get your life in order. Establish a healthy routine. Write down your personal goals. Have a plan for yourself.
Step 2: You shouldn't have much trouble finding an issue you are passionate about. I recommend you identify specific people, companies, etc., that you can interact with regarding your issue. Discuss it with both sides.
Step 3: Bring the conversation to them. Not enough people are doing this. Start polite. Questioning. If you're trying to hunt down Stacey Abrams, for example, to ask about her Bilderberg meeting, you are going to have to find her people and work your way up. I always like to open up with the polite suggestion that the person in question should resign.
This, alone, is tremendously effective. Having strong personal roots, being grounded in your morals and your beliefs and simply engaging with these people is really what every average person should be doing. This is what every Poal visitor can do.
I can be slow to get things done, but if any of you need contact information, I can generally get it... I just need specifics because there is too much data to just hand out batches and it's not as effective as I'd like. If I give you Stacey Abrams' contact, then I am a lot more confident you will do something as opposed to me giving you every Democrat contact list.
If you just have a wild hair up your ass to argue, then bring the fight to the people you know are getting paid to astroturf. You can actually cost the astroturfing machine a lot of money if you mess with them in creative ways. If you need an idea on who, start with Reddit moderators. You have to realize that these people also live in echo chambers. You can change their minds. You can generate a tremendous amount of guilt, shame and cognitive dissonance in these people. They are mentally unwell and it is easy to exploit. Just do to them what they do to everyone else.
I can offer a lot of other suggestions for the more capable and brave, but, honestly, this is where everyone should be starting.
This is amazing. Thank you for the comment. You are an absolute legend
