My mothers cat brought home a squirrel once. She ripped its guts out and spread them on the floor near the garage door into the house. It survived being bitten by rattlesnakes twice. The first time she took her to the vet to have her put down. The vet said "let me see if I can save her!". He did. free of charge. The second time mom took her and paid the guy. She figured that was only fair. That cat lived for 19 years
