First off, I always thought I had the best inlaws. My family is broken and riddled with bullshit, from faggotry to hippy bullshit, my family is pretty intolerable. My inlaws were always "easy."
Ive had discussions with my father in law about the JQ, about politics, pretty much anything. Had a lot of good times with the old boomer. Then the holocough rolls in and it all changes. He's 100% programmed. We got into heated arguments about masks, about the vax, all of it. He went from "CNN is fake news bullshit," to "OMG did you see what CNN is telling us to do today!" Its all been very tough for my wife and I to see him (and the rest of the family) go this way
We usually have dinner with him and his wife once a week to catch up and hang out, as we did last night. The topic of course goes to the vax and how his company is handling it. He runs a large multistate business, so its a topic of concern. What went down just gutted me. They are implementing rules that are just off the rails. It boils down to they are working with their lawyers to find ways to not hire people if they refuse to comment about the vax, and ways to fire employees that dont submit. Their company did a state sponsored vaccination (govt pays them for each shot) and they are offering a $50 walmart card if you take the jab.
The other big issue he's wrestling with is he doesn't want to "create division" among the vaxed and non vaxed. Which after the last words out of his mouth, was just absurd.
So, my wife and I are wondering when they will stop talking to us over all of this. Hard to run a huge company that fires people that dont get jabbed, and wont hire people that arent vaxed, and then go home and hang out with non vaxed family.
It's all so tiresome.
The worst part of this world is seeing people you love and respect fade into the faceless masses of drones. No more soul, no more love, no integrity, no critical thoughts... just programming.
It's kinda like watching that horse get sucked into the swamp of sadness when you were a kid
