People love to be enslaved and told exactly what to do even if they’re being fed contradictory bullshit. Even in places where mask mandates are lifted most people don’t even know what to do with themselves. They can’t take off their slave mask.

The CDC just said in the past several days that sanitizing surfaces is unnecessary; there’s only a 1 in 10,000 chance of “catching Covid” from a surface. But people don’t even care that they yet again are being told something completely contradictory by an authority figure.

What you just wrote was what someone else broke my chains of hard-core libertarianism. I thought most folks were reasonably intelligent. No. They are not. This fake pandemic has solidified my belief.

They must be lead by masters. I will try to be one of the masters. Benevolent masters. (My have I changed my belief system -- I believed in libertarianism for over 20 years -- sigh.)

There's nothing wrong with learning something new and changing your behavior based on that new evidence. That you can do so is the mark of intelligence, we don't continue to stick our finger in the candle flame because we learn it burns.

The problem comes when people refuse to acknowledge that a new idea has been presented and cling to their old views because they're more comfortable.
