I think they're slightly different - when you lose your private keys, there's no way to get it back. It's irretrievable and impossible to prove that you didn't lose it. Of course they'd likely still try to fuck you in the ass, but at least you'd have a reasonable defense - how can you pay taxes on an asset you don't have?
Based off my experience, the IRS will happily destroy your entire life to prove a point. And with the whole Biden being "elected", the jews will give zero fucks whether you agree or not.
That's true - but also the beauty of crypto. I can just fuck off to a remote corner of the world with internet and be able to transact or even convert my digital goods into local currency.
Definitely not feasible for most people though.
