I used to live in NYC and left. I decided to cut contact with a lot of people. Out of curiosity, i decided to try and maintain a minimum contact level with some of the old acquaintances i had. Holy hell, these people are absolutely insane, not just the family members, but everyone. There's this very real attitude that you need to grind and be enslaved to debt and work to be considered successful. I'm just there thinking no, im not gonna slave away for some stupid certs, or whatever, just because someone else is jealous i have too much free time. Im very happy where i am now, low cost of location, no black people, minimal costs, low property taxes. Why in the hell would i want to move BACK to a place which is high tax, diversity central, super high price, with taxes all over the place?

I live in nowhere state right now. My house cost me between 350 - 425. A comparable unit in NYC or really the Northeast would cost me 2 - 3 million. When you account for the hidden perks and now just what's on paper, were easily talking 25 million or more. Do i get gun rights? Nope, those are gone. Free speech? Laughable. Perks for my taxes? Nope. So i pay 100 times more, for less land, less freedom, and more taxes. Why in the hell would i agree to such a stupid deal?
