Soapy water is extremely effective at killing bees and wasps. These insects respirate through small holes on their body. Soapy suds instantly stops this. I have the stupid hanging traps with sweet water and dishsoap, they catch more roaches than anything.

Got stung last year and the big wasps are coming soon.
