radio is the best way forward. podcasts are for slacktivists and douchbags, while the internet is intentionally being held back from being able to surplant radio in cars and stereos.
you don't need to build any network infrastructure to do it.
a radio emitter can be mounted in a car or on a bike. it wont cover vast territories, but it can cover a sizable section of a city, and overpower more distant "official" stations
Maybe I should have been more general. I think the future is digital selective communication rather than scheduled communication. If your podcast is good it will reach a large audiance and can (and will) be spread by a whole variety of methods. The internet is only one option.
By contrast, a radio broadcast is sent out into the ether once and only reaches whoever's in range, happens to be listening and doesn't change the channel.
frankly, we have no shortage of podcasts already. its not doing anything more than preaching to the choir, or being feds. by contrast the trump campaign managed to get real world action going. antifa were getting roughly kicked out of rallies, people were guarding ballot boxes, even hells angels helped out a bit. what did trump do? he mostly stayed off the internet.
say it with me. podcasts. are. worthless.
We have no shortage of radio stations either. They're not achieving a whole lot.
