If you were to shove the KJV bible in front of your average American, tell them to read a passage and ask them to tell you what it says, in their own words, they simply could not; and this is assuming you are able to hold more than 7 seconds of their attention. They are educated on simplistic and basic English and take little effort to improve their comprehension past a 6th grade level. Aged texts, books and even quotes are widely outside of their understanding. This creates an environment where the average american needs English dumbed down for them so that they are able to understand what they are reading.

In these "translations" many things may be left out. It allows them to literally rewrite history, scrubbing out anything they dont want you to know. For example, John 2-13:22 KJV names the money changers and merchants corrupting the temple as twice jews, yet the new translation leaves this out.

We've got our fair share of metal controversies too. They've been talking about putting lithium in the water to "combat quarantine depression" in my county. I really wonder if rainwater would be better to drink at this point.

American food, in itself is great. I love a big nice burger, apple pie is perfection, french fries are great, yankee beverage is my go to summer drink, fried chicken is magic, barbecue ribs are just wonderful. I've heard that our serving sizes are a bit of a shock to those uninitiated in american cuisine. The infamous eating culture is rooted in an excess of food, along with times of hunger and mixed with a great working man's appetite, going back many generations. It's the greasy, convenient fast food mcdonalds culture that ruined the food scene in this country. Instead of hardy meals, they serve people literal cardboard and flavoring in order to squeeze every ounce of profit they they can.

The convenient food now is packed with preservatives, sugar, salt and soy, then cooked in soy oil. Most of which you find at the grocer is the same way. The key is to make it yourself from raw produce or find a restaurant that appreciates a natural diet. If you can find natural american cuisine, made the way it was made before the fast food boom, it's the best eating in the world, although I may be a bit biased!

Oh I do enjoy a large meal at certain days, I was referring to supermarkets and the soy thing.

I wonder what exactly is behind the inclusion of soy in almost everything, originally I thought it was because it's cheaper and easier to grow in the colder climates but then they put soy-related ingredients where they don't belong. Is it to make food addictive? Hormones? (I doubt that sometimes because afaik only the bean part has these but then again, I want to believe these stupid energy protein bars secretly promote estrogen)
