Probably a valid concern. My garage stays cool, but at work i have to leave my truck parked outside for weeks or a couple months at a time.

They might not. I've never really cared to check. I figured they'd be better than nothing but not perfect. They're not particularly expensive, so it seems like a worthwhile investment to me.
