Infantry doesn't require high intelligence.
Any fucking monkey can be taught to follow orders and pull triggers.
Combat jobs across all services are populated disproportionately with white men.
What do you base your opinion on? It's true that infantry has one of the lower asvab requirements of military service occupations, but it also attracts a lot of intelligent type-A personality individuals. You're more likely to encounter a full range of the iq bell curve in an average infantry company than in any other military occupation specialities.
Promotions are based on tactical/technical knowledge and the ability to lead rather than ability to follow orders. Your average infantryman has to be able to adapt to and overcome an ever changing battlefield environment and make split second life or death decisions not only for themselves but their squad as well, these decisions often have to be made under the most unpleasant conditions. Squad leaders are signed for and are responsible for millions of dollars of equipment which puts their paycheck on the line. Mistakes are punished harshly enough to where you don't want to be an idiot anymore. Most SF/Delta start out in an infantry unit, I would hardly call them monkeys.
As another commenter stated combat MOSs are predominately white, I'm not sure that your archaic overgeneralization is doing much to further your cause. Ultimately I'd rather be stuck with a "monkey pulling trigger" grunt in the SHTF scenario than a sophisticated super intelligent civilian.
