Cardio and being able to lift your gun is really all that matters. If you happen to get in a firefight away from key terrain (key terrain would basically always be a building) you'll be repositioning a decent bit.
I say this but I seriously am lacking in my practice in most areas I keep working to get out of debt I need to spend time shooting and working on other skills
Yeah, ammo's expensive now, though, so a cheap alternative is doing handling drills. Probably should do it without the presence of ammo, but I do it with ammo 'cause I'm just safe about it.
Just something as simple as changing mags can be helpful. While doing handling drills with my Glock 17, I zeroed in on a tactical reload technique where I keep the gun on target, take the new mag out pinched between the index and middle of my other hand, exchange the mag with that same hand, and put the other mag away. I can do it pretty quickly and I spend maybe a second tops with only the round in the chamber to rely on.
I have a pellet gun for practice shooting with a scope and I have a Lazer system for practice I With my hand gun.. I just don't do it enough or consistently
