I used to wake up every morning wondering what was happening on Voat.
Now I wake up wondering if will ever forgive my silly behavior and let me have my alts back.

The site maintenance is in fact better. But the micromanagement of posts is not optimal and I dont care for the petty disputes that AOU seems to get involved in.
I was never a big downvoter on voat but I now realize that it makes the forum much more dynamic and exciting. People can get really passionate about topics when downvotes are in play. It can obviously be exploited but their are significant upsides to down votes.
Yes, the maintenance is better but I too would like to understand the business model and how the site is able to run so well.
The question of downvoting is an interesting one (is that what's causing the micomanagement of posts?). I also really liked the downvoting (it was a pleasure to watch all/new and see kikes, shills and pedos stomped into oblivion) but I had already taken a vow never to downvote (except in the case of pedo content or illegal shit). I'm pretty proud that I honored that on Voat but now that it's the rule, I wonder if it was the right thing to do. It does make the place feel "safe" and less exciting.

I hope you're not including my brilliant sense of humor and odd displays of affection in there. We goats have a long and time honored tradition of taking the piss out of our mods that must continue if we are to keep our sanity.

They don't fully understand our humor. We saw it as a form of lighten up but here it's an instant ignore button.
