They are so obviously spooked that they're risking their long term plans by pushing into end game far too early. The norms see it; everyone sees it.

I have never met even a single person IRL who knows or cares. If I talk to them about it they give me a blank stare. Please consider seriously the possibility that you are in an echo chamber. I'm sorry to be that way but that is the case from what I have seen.
Everyone is too busy not revealing their power-level. Although, if you subtly bring up the conversation to any White person, you can be sure that they have a strong opinion on the matter.
Literally every White I know from all walks of life, in a blue city, but they wouldn't dare discuss out in the open. Have family that know many in blue cities, whom even claim to be liberals, yet agree with the same.
