I think that we, as Europans, took the foreign religion that is Christianity and molded it to how we operate. That's why there is often a significant disconnect between how Jesus is portrayed in the west, and how he behaved per Christian mythological texts: we aren't wired the same way as the original people from which the texts came.

I largely don't have an issue with Christianity at a social level. It generally seems to be a force for good. So long as you don't stand in the way of those who want to more deeply connect with our ancestors by trying to revive our traditions, and you don't insist on doing nothing because "it's all God's plan" (or whatever variant thereof), I don't see any need for us to be enemies.
