The movie was supposed to finish out what the first season was going to cover.

I think when word got uphill that there was going to be a thing about mass drugging the air supply causing ultra violence in the population, the parallels with SSRIs and other substances were going to be a subject of discussion. This cannot happen.

Huh. That's quite a bit to cover in a single season. Ambitious and controversial! No wonder Fox killed it.
