It seems that most Voaters left and went elsewhere after the initial surge.
Only the regulars had a chance to properly migrate: Putt gave everyone just 4 days. Everyone else had to figure it out. Voat's user base was forced to scatter because of Putt's incompetence... or it was intentional (we offered donations but he didn't care).
If he told us 6 months prior when he knew about it, Poal could have taken Voat's peak at #20,000.
Everyone was told a month before, not four days.
I visited voat daily for years and I don't remember that. The announcement a few days before Christmas was a surprise to me.
It was four days: December 20th, and shut down Christmas day at noon.
