Amren dot com is Jared Taylor's websight, and an invaluable resource. This well spoken southern gentleman has consistently put out rational, thought provoking content without slander or impolite slurs. He is one of the most important thinkers of our time.

I read in another that two accounts have spammed amren. Ok, do something about them, but why ban the site?

This goes against the core of why I love Poal. I urge you to reconsider.

It's not about who owns the domain. I know exactly who Jared Taylor is.

The problem is that website is filled with copypasta of articles from other places.

2 accounts were spamming it instead of posting the original links to the original articles.

Monetizing on articles you aren't the author is spam.

Is it possible to solve the problem with those two accounts, as opposed to denying this great resource to everyone? Also, I really don't understand the critique you offered. I just clicked on 3 of the first links on the website and theyseemed to be authored there; not copy pasta'd.

Look, bro, I know you have assholes yelling at you all the time that you aren't operating the site exactly as they would like. I'm not an OG, but I've been here coming on a year and a half. In all that time I've never been taken aback by any of your actions, never bitched about the way you handle the site, never joined the chorus of (goats mostly) people complaining that they can't downvote spam. I know we're not besties or anything, but to the extent that you recognize my name, I hope it rings true as someone who operates in good faith.

Like I said, I urge you to reconsider.

I wanted to let some time pass before replying.

I looked at the articles. They are not hiding that they reprinted the articles. Since when is reprinting articles spam? You'd have to get rid of a huge quantity of content if you believe that to be true. Will you ban Tim Pool next? 90% of what he does is rereading someone else's writing. They also provide the original link; they aren't hiding it. All the stories are in a particular vein, supporting the narrative that Amren wants to highlight.

Considering this spam strikes me as (with no disrespect intended) overly simplistic, black and white thinking. mentioned that it was temporary. How temporary?

The domain isn't banned for its content, but its behavior (copypasta entire articles from other sources and monetizing them).

If you can't understand that, you know what to do.

I find this decision seriously concerning. Archive.is does essentially the same thing: Copypasta articles from other sites then re-serve them with monetisation (a donate link). Why is what they do ok but what american rennaisance does isn't?

Dealing with spam is a valid concern, but banning the site rather than the accounts creates another hazard: It allows outside group to ban domains on poal just by spamming them with throwaway accounts.

Your comparison doesn't make sense.

Archive.is is clearly for archiving purpose.

They don't have publisher/author names linked to articles they did copy from other places. They don't mix them with ads.

Disagree with banning Amren.

I can understand that blocking content from a spam site might be a good idea, but frankly most websites are just a heap of 'paraphrased' content or copy pasted from somewhere else. Then again, everything should be archived to both prevent them from getting clicks and to protect Poal from being identified as a major referrer source.

In any case, Jared is one of the very few fighting for Whites and against White genocide, and its unfair for his site to get blocked while so many useless others are not.

Not a good look for Poal. Please reconsider.

American Renaissance is full of very well-written truths. I send articles to my friends often and they always enjoy them, especially accounts of people's dealings with blacks in school, peace corps, etc.

It's a shit decision. You lock out reporting spam for everyone but the turboposters, tell us that the downvote button is to be used in lieu, so what's the point?

Who cares if the content is copypasta with commentary, if it's the first time we see it? Who cares about ads? It's how they make money, and I'd wager that's a moot point considering most people here don't see any ads at all.

Agree with everything you said. Also, i'm sure that they're de-listed on addsense. No way google is paying them. Plus I don't see how them aggregating articles is particularly different from Poal doing so, just because poal links instead of hosts. Plenty of people have linked, or copypasta'd here because it was behind a paywall, or to make it easier.
