The truth is, they are the most comfortable class, and they choose to believe the lies. They choose to not listen to you, they choose to convince them of the lies they are told because that's how they get to keep their comforts. They sold yours and your children's future for their retirement, and they expect you to slave away to pay their for their retirement, they accept the lies because they love their sloth and gluttony. They would feed you to the dogs to keep their comforts. They prefer their comfort to freedom. Because they prefer their comfort to freedom, they are slaves; they choose not to be free, and they will fight for your lack of freedom to keep theirs. Very true. I realized this after the lockdowns went on for a couple months and nobody seemed to give a shit. That's when it really clicked for me. What I want is fundamentally different than what they want. The difference is they'll gladly kill me so they can keep their "normal". They're mentally ill. At this point I hope the mask mandate keeps going because it makes it easy to avoid them.

Oh yeah, that's how the NPC meme originally started, people figuring that out. Well, the line of how the term is used is sometimes blurry. But if your point was to emphasize the original meaning (that's how I took it), I get your point.

I think that it stems from aphantasia itself. A human mind unable to use mental imagery as a guide or for reflection is to me no different than that of an animal reacting to stimuli -- soulless and thoughtless. I personally cannot even conceive of such an existence.

I do however believe that it is not hopeless, and that one can actually develop this ability. By promoting the use of mental imagery, I am convinced that we can literally birth a soul into the mindless masses out there, thus bringing about a greater world. Perhaps the lack of which was intentional all along for easy population control.

This is a strange correlation, but the first batch of chickens that we hatched there was one that tamed to the point that she would seek me if I was outside, demand to be picked, and if I wouldn't, she would jump onto my shoulder for a ride. I didn't use food to get her to be like this, I still don't know why she was as we held all the others, too, while they were little.

She was the same breed as all the others. She even had the exact same markings as two of her sisters. But her eyes changed, they had a depth that the others didn't have and I could pick her out from her sisters by that alone(if she wasn't coming for attention). She even seemed to have a level of "consideration" of consequence that others didn't have.

I've noticed this eye difference in other species. We had three geese, identical to one another. Initially they were not very tame at all, but gradually one was tamer than the other two, and one was semi tame, the third might as well have been wild. There was visible difference in their eyes, as well, noticeable perception and understanding of things, like you could see the wheels turning behind their eyes.

The goats were also like this.

I don't know if it is genetic or of the environment can truly change the ability to "wake up." I had the sense that these animals that became tame, earned a spirit or soul through awareness that they wouldn't have had without interaction with a human benefactor.

I think so much goes into preventing people from being able to access much of their minds and consciousness. Fluoride, aluminum, plastics, sugars, hydrogenated oils, food devoid of nutrients, non stop entertainment to prevent time to think, the destruction of value of art, meaningless braindead jobs, the list goes on and on.

Maybe if some people could reduce a great number of these things they could wake up. For now, I'll be wondering about if their eyes will change.

I think you are on to something, the modern system certainly does not promote a soulful and intellectual atmosphere. Dumber masses are easier to control, and promoting the use of technology for easy short-term dopamine hits, for example, is certainly a large part of pacifying them.

You're right and, crucially, a consequence of this is that they lack a sense of self which is independent from their beliefs. Quoting something I posted :

They are incapable of separating their sense of self, of who they are, from the ideas they currently hold.

The result is that their entire identity is built around what they believe in. In fact, their identity is what they believe in. And vice versa. And so they cannot process or integrate new information which contradicts assumptions they previously made. Because any such information is a direct attack against their very selves. So it just makes them angry, sad, furious, depressed. They cannot bring themselves to consider it. No matter what you show them, or how much evidence piles up.

Consequently, they become people who know little, believe much, and have overly inflated and fragile egos. NPCs, in a nutshell.

Unfortunately, I don't share your optimism about this being fixable. I've never once witnessed an NPC "becoming human" in the sense of acquiring an independent self. I suspect it is genetic; you either have it or you don't. You either know the difference between "I am ..." and "I believe ...", or you don't.

Maybe, maybe, it's something that can be instilled at a very young age. But, even if so, some just have it, without intervention or help, and others don't. Those who grew into adulthood without ever once having an independent thought are a lost cause in any case. Why would you want to salvage them, even if you could? How is that different from pulling niggers out of their mud huts and pretending that makes them just like us?

Funny, I was thinking of this driving to my college the other day. I imagined my AR I lost in a tragic boating accident, loading it, where my fingers would be, pulling the charging handle, aiming at an old target thrown up against a dirt wall we made, I can "see" and "feel" every detail, every texture of that weapon. I can take it apart and put it together, struggle with that damn D-ring that refuses to fucking move, feel the surprisingly cold metal as I grip it, the jolt as a round is fired, the slight shake of the scope with said jolt, the sound between a pwish and pop as it goes off...

And that's just an AR. Something like an apple, same idea. I can take the skin off, change its color, flip it around, crush it in my hand, turn it into a house, have a lit fuse on top and make it explode more apples inside a chemistry lab I used to go to...

The mind is an odd thing, isn't it?
