With what little I know about it, I doubt there is much for us to study. There's no tectonics, organics, or atmosphere and it seems the soil is much like Earth's once acclimated for growing plants. I don't think there is much there for us, except for the location. I really feel confident that we could colonize it eventually and build a space port allowing us to launch cheaper resupply missions to the ISS and its future counterparts along with launching missions to explore the solar system and our little galactic neighborhood. Something along the lines of Luna City that Robert Heinlein wrote so much about. Subterranean dome structures built into the moon instead of on it. It's a long long way away, but I think there is something to that concept as far out as it sounds. What about you?
I don't know anymore. I sort of lost hope and stopped dreaming about stuff like that. Part of it is the realization I'll never be an astronaut and it doesn't really matter to me.
I think it would be helpful to us as a species to keep developing technology, and a mission like that would demand a lot of innovation. But as long as we're in the state we are, it doesn't seem worth considering. White people won't benefit from it unless drastic changes happen.
Yeah, it doesn't seem to be very likely looking at the current trends. Also, you're right, we likely won't see it come to fruition nor be in a position to benefit personally.
Take heart, Europe and Europeans represent the pinnacle of humanity, even the Italians. The European peoples have been pushed to the brink time after time and we have always come back stronger. We stand on the shoulders of great men and with their example we will overcome our trials, or we'll be the foundation on which that victory will be built. It's not fun to think about given what circumstances we're in currently, our piece in all of this is not likely to be fun but it is going to be noteworthy. Just my take on it.
Yea there were a lot of great Italians. not me... but that's alright I guess.
