now i have to dig through history and find the complaint i had about 'aged' back on voat posting loli porn to the gaming sub, and where either you or pmyb made this statement. This was atleast a year, maybe two ago. I guess it never made it into official policy.
This was the entire reason i left voat a year before it became a popular thing to do. The account 'aged' would post rule34 stuff in the gaming forum, starting with non porn images, progressing to bikinis, nudes, during sex acts, then of children characters. take one step forward until the down votes pile on then back off by two and start again. claim free speech if anyone complains. The next step where it becomes illegal is where he posted real people who could be stretched into character lookalikes or cosplays of adults, then of children in the same progression, the latter of which is definitely not legal. Where moderators draw the line picks what crap they will have to deal with, usually a bell curve around the exact spot they ban stuff on as users try to 'edge the line over' without realizing the more porn they allow, the worse stuff the mods and admins will have to see and remove. The easier thing to do is blanket ban porn so the mods and admins only have to deal with vanilla stuff most often.
this progression is what i discussed in the conversation i wish i could find.
https://poal.co/s/Announcements/61022 is the result of the above conversation. bans the illegal stuff and leaves it up to the mods for everything else.
