For those who simply

  1. want to be left alone,
  2. or chaff at the very overreach of the state,
  3. or even just worry about things like the setup that was the capitol riot where federally-assisted third parties committed violence to shut down a lawful protest.

For those who are tired of the suppression, tracking, and collusion of corporations and the state: A burner is essential.

It is fundamentally your right to be left the fuck alone. To live in a society that is not a surveillance state whos primary purpose for surveillance is either to doxx you to violent mobs or harass or destroy you for your political beliefs.

Hence, this guide. It is not a complete manual, but more like some approachs you may use.

How to properly buy a burner.

  1. cover your face, and wear a baseball cap to cover the upper portion too

  2. Approach people who are already hanging out in front of a gas station or other small store

  3. Ask them if they can go in and 'buy a few items' for you. Explain you were "banned from the local stores around here for arguing with staff / cant go in because you're worried about covid" or some other line of bullshit.

  4. Have them purchase a few small items, pay them five-ten bucks in change, and of course they buy the phone and bring it right out to you.

  5. Ask them or someone else standing there to use their phone so you can activate yours.

This is how you buy burners.

Preferably do it on your way to work or while going somewhere on the weekend. You make a side trip of it. You don't want to purchase phones in your home town.

Do not connect to google unless you have to. If theres an app you need, try to load it from somewhere besides the play store. If not, start a new email account using the new number.

Do not share the number with people you are around on a daily basis. This is meant for dissidents and activists only.

Keep it off if you take it home at all. Preferably remove the sim card and battery when not in use. If you need someone to call you or expect calls, prearrange to have calls come in at specific times the next time you talk to a person.

After using it for a month, you ditch the sim card and flash the phone (minimum) but preferably buy a new phone.

Another easy one is buying phones for homeless people. Yes really. The important things to remember are

  1. who is a regular at a given spot on the road or store. You don't want people who are all over the place or don't show up predictably.

  2. They usually won't have any problem letting you use 'their' phone that you bought them.

This works okay for homeless or transient people outside of stores, but they tend to get run off by store clerks eventually. Works better for bums that camp out on specific stretches of the sidewalk or roadside with signs.

There are also a million semi-public places you can leave your phone undisturbed if you know the people who live or work there. For example a library often has many unvisited corners with wall sockets where you can essentially hide your burner and charge it. Likewise chain restaurants with employees that don't give a fuck. Consult a lawyer before doing so lol. The point is, use your imagination.

This guide is for entertainment and informational purposes only.

Protect your rights. Fuck the panopticon destroying america.
