Because tv doesn't address the idea that there is a conspiracy going on behind the scenes.
You'll often find that many people just meander through life not having ever formed thoughts or opinions about many subjects. They have "empty slots" where opinions would be in a critical thinker. Virgin ground.
More often than not, people will hang on to the first thing they hear because previously there was nothing there at all. And admitting one was wrong is hard so they'll hold it tightly even if it makes no sense because it's all they have. Removing it and having nothing there again is like walking around without clothes.
So you have millions of these tv watchers with empty slots when it comes to what's really going on in politics. There is a big incentive for somebody to "get there first" and put something there. Anything. As long as it's wrong. Even better if it keeps them from doing anything at all.
Now when the tv moron runs into his critical thinking friend or relative, they get to talking about politics and he won't listen to anything because Q is already there. The slot has been filled with muh arrests and muh plan.
The absolute easiest people to reach are the ignorant. I think this is why we're now seeing "conspiracy theories" become mainstream entertainment. (((They))) need to fill all those empty slots with garbage. Just as long as there's something there so when they eventually do hear the truth they might not believe it.
