The absolute state of comedy in our culture will be exposed, the whole apparatus that has been built up around these HILARIOUS late night talk show hosts...they're all going to have to go back to being regular comedians talking about funny stuff in the world, a world which has actually started to become horrible, but which in many regards they can't criticize.

There are no more default jokes. They'll now have to start joking about what is actually going on in culture, simultaneously exposing the absolute clown world they've created on the back of hating a single guy for four years.

Now, they're going to have to try to do actual comedy after they've destroyed it, and gotten rid of the only thing they were authorized to actually demolish (Trump). Of course, maybe Trump stays alive in the media (and we should think the media will try to keep him alive there - he's been their primary source of ratings/material, after all). But on the whole, an absence of 24/7 Trump coverage is going to actually force people, and the media, to look around at the world they've 'wanted' and observe it.
