I don't know the psychological term for the phenomenon that I want to describe but i THINK... it has something to do with "misery loves company".
Theorists who have identified the problems that the Q team is going to sink will be less likely to act if they see dummies suffering on their behalf. Or something... I can't exactly describe it.
I think I know what you’re talking about. In a similar way, I’ve wondered if the real purpose of Q is to preoccupy and distract us, by giving us a sense of smug superiority that at least we’re not that dumb ... and then we go through life thinking we’ve got if figured out, when we’ve actually just fallen into the trap they placed for us.
That’s occurred to me. Really hard to prove of course.
