I really thought we would never have an ideological purge in the US. I thought we had learnt from the past, from the Holodomor and Mao and Pol Pot. But now that I think about it, I bet all those people who got purged also thought they had learned from the past.

The population of Ukraine in 1940 was 40 million. Unless the holodomor affected more than ukraine and wikipedia is pulling an early life moment on me, of course, which is always an option.
