... but what’s really discouraging is seeing how many other users just immediately rush to the defense of the admins, kissing their nuts, and defending this obvious abuse of power.

Every year around (((Super Bowl))) time, I watch as millions of people descend into a demoralized state of being, level of consciousness etc ... in their minds, it’s perfectly okay for referees to make bad calls favoring their team, but they absolutely lose their shit when when it works against them.

See, normies don’t care whether the game is being played well or fairly according to the rules; they only care that their team wins - to hell with the rules!

What’s cool about a legitimate free-speech site, is that it’s devoted to a level playing field - where competing ideas can duke it out on their own merits. In that way, objective truth can be arrived at.

Obviously, great care must be taken to ensure that the system not be completely subverted.

But that’s not what I saw. I saw Partisans siding with the admins, making every excuse for them, on the basis that “we’ve seen how pointless free speech is!!”

Which is obvious demoralization. You all have been demoralized.

I’m not really interested in arguing about this: if it’s not against you, personally, you probably won’t give a shit. Until it’s your turn. I’ve watched as a bunch of otherwise “good” active posters decided to fling other “good” posters to the wolves. No interest in trying to understand whether the admins’ decisions were good, or just. Name-calling and shit-flinging. No attempt to find truth.

There’s absolutely no way a place like this can possibly remain usefully objective for very long. Admins will just ban whomever they don’t like, for whatever reason, without explanation - and it will simply be their personal political party.

I’m sure many of you will be perfectly okay with that. But it’s not what I’m here for. I’m here for the Truth.

I sure as hell won’t be pinging anyone involved.

See, that what I’m talking about. I don’t have any power in this situation. I gave the admin the benefit of every doubt. He can’t handle challengers. Truth is, ARM didn’t violate any terms of service. He was just being annoying. That’s why he got banned. That’s my point. “Being annoying” doesn’t violate any site rules. The admin is just pulling this out of his ass. It’s their site. They can do what they want. But I call it how I see it.

He did. You denying it won't make it go away.

Using Poal as a place to discuss, plan or engage in any action that would* compromise security, tamper with system resources or accounts on computers at Poal, or any other site, is strictly prohibited.

He abused the mentions (towards admins) and doubled down when warned.

Now keep crying, it sure won't make him back.

It’s obvious to everyone involved that you got tired of people bitching about lists. It didn’t take a genius to see that. ARM bore the brunt of your wrath.

You claiming it’s “tampering with system resources” is spurious. That means something else: was he logging in a bunch of different accounts, specifically to annoy you? That would constitute “tampering”, because it actually violates terms of service.

I get it; your house, your rules. But what you’ve done afterwards has been ridiculous. It paints the picture you’re a thin-skinned tyrant. Is that true? I don’t know. But it just looks like you’ve completely lost your cool. It didn’t escape my notice it’s aimed at other people who bitched about lists.

I believe you that he was pinging you in comments a whole bunch. That’s not what’s in question. It what you’ve proceeded to do about it ever since, which is questionable.

I think that...[opinion based on suppositions]

Thanks for your concern.
