I genuinely love bears too but seriously, makes me feel like im in a coke commercial. Plus I hate the pol ripoff. Voat was at least semi original and grew on me. The goat, it grew on me. I dont see that happening with faggy ass polar bears. And I love bears, but id rather be a goat. Or a penguin

Change the mascot to a penguin or something imo the bear is just too autistic. Maybe because its white too? Subconsciously it just makes me cringe because it seems like some sort of negro style subconcious cope I guess. Penguins, now those I can relate to .

A ripoff is intentionally copying a style to pass something off as what's being copied. Poal having a name pronounced the same as a part of 4chan isn't enough. Voat and Poal are more inspired by Reddit than anything else, so I'm confused as to how a pronunciation similarity bugs you, but Voat's similarities to Reddit felt organic.

I know that. I'm saying it's weird to be bothered by pronunciation similarities rather than functions/aesthetics similarities. Though we all have our quirks.
