I wish all computers looked like the Fallout PipBoy. Green. No mouse. Makes buzzy grindy noises.
how about those computers in Terry Gilliam's Brazil (files.catbox.moe)?

ALIEN got it right. I love watching the playthrough of Alien: Isolation for the 80's tech in space.
modem sounds
This just sent me down a long road of nostalgia videos on old equipment.
Remember having two phone lines coming into house so one was for the dialup and the other was for the house phone?
#3 V.34 is my jam.
They used to make those sounds. You are just too young to remember. Trust me. It was annoying.
PC's from the 80s made a lot of neat sounds. Early hard drives used to made a sort of little squeak-squeak sound as their heads moved around. Floppies were always nice and noisy, of course.
The funny thing is, in lots of tv shows, when they're in a computer lab or a server room, they dub in the sounds of the old hard drives as ambient sounds, which I always get a kick out of. It's a very subtle sound, but I can hear it instantly any time they use it.
I remember those 5.25" floppies making noises!
You probably turn on the keyboard sound option on your phone.
