I think to know why Qtards believe in Q. Qtards are mainly religious people. They were indoctrinated into believing without having proofs by their religion. What looks absurd to anybody with a conscious and independent mind, for them is considered normality. They have the Pavlov's reflex of always looking for some authoritarian figure to obey. This Qanon psy-op phenomenon was tailored exactly for their minds. They never question Q and why it appeared in front of them. I think talking with them is futile. They are too busy believing.

It's pretty easy to see why people would follow Q. I mean, it's not hard to believe that he'd know so much about what's going on behind the scenes, considering he knows so much in general. With how easy it is for him to go anywhere using his rather unique abilities, it makes sense he'd pick up so many tidbits of information to pass along, and it's not like he has anything to fear should he be discovered. if anything, he prefers it, what with his flair for the dramatic. Anyone trying to confront him would surely be in for a rude awakening. I mean, look at how many times, with just a snap of his fingers, he took the entire crew of the Enterprise hostage.
